We are pleased to announce that Carrie Diggins has taken up the position of Deputy Public Guardian on an interim basis. Carrie has a long working service with the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service and has worked throughout Scotland. More recently she held positions at Falkirk and Stirling sheriff court. Carrie will have responsibility for the operation of the guardianship and access to funds teams. She will also take on the role of Deputy Accountant of Court

Professionals wishing to join the scheme must complete and submit their application form before 30 November 2016. As part of the scheme’s criteria, a firm’s nominated scheme owner will be required to attend our training workshop, which will be held early in 2017. Other staff assisting professional guardians in their duties will be welcome to come along to the workshop with their firm’s scheme owner.
