Expedited PoAs, We appreciate that in some cases there is a genuine need for a power of attorney (PoA, in recognition of this. To request this service we need key information from you and the reason why the PoA is to be given priority over other PoAs. Please complete our form if you wish to request this service. If your request is granted the expedited PoA will usually be processed within 5 working days. There is no need to contact us to ask for the status of the PoA, this may inadvertently delay the PoA

Ministry of Justice power of attorney fee refund scheme – applies to England and Wales Only, A scheme was launched to refund those who may have paid more than they should for applying to register powers of attorney in England and Wales. A similar refund scheme is not required for Scotland. The law relating to powers of attorney in Scotland is entirely separate; the fees charged in Scotland are assessed every three years and are currently £77, in total, for registration of a welfare and financial power of attorney.
