Solicitors acting as Attorney or a Substitute

Sep 14, 2021

Solicitors are often appointed as an attorney or a substitute attorney. However if a professional is no longer willing to act or take up the appointment e.g. they leave the firm, they should advise their clients of this.

Contacting clients at the earliest opportunity allows for appropriate arrangements, and/or amendments to be made to deeds whilst the granter has capacity and in a position to approve such a change.
