Revoking a PoA and putting another PoA in place

When revoking a PoA and opting to use EPOAR to submit a fresh PoA, follow the steps below to ensure your documentation is processed swiftly:

  1. Submit the PoA via EPOAR
  2. Pay the registration fee
  3. Email opg@scotcourts.gov.uk to advise that a PoA currently exists

By following these steps the granter can be assured that there will be a seamless transition in changing over the PoAs. If the steps are not followed it is possible for the previous PoA to be revoked before the new PoA is actually processed and registered.

It should also be noted that if the new EPOAR PoA is not received timeously with the revocation, it is possible for the new submission to be placed in the general processing queue instead of being processed within the target of 5 working days.
