Attention EPOAR users - revoking a PoA and putting another PoA in place

Dec 13, 2018

When revoking a PoA and opting to use EPOAR to submit a fresh PoA, EPOAR users are reminded of the following steps to ensure swift processing:

  1. Submit the PoA via EPOAR
  2. Pay the registration fee
  3. Email opg@scotcourts.gov.uk to advise that a PoA currently exists

We ask that EPOAR users ensure that they are familiar with this process.

If the above steps are followed it will help avoid the situation where the granter is not covered by any appointment i.e. if the previous PoA is revoked before the new PoA is registered.

It should also be noted that if the new EPOAR PoA is not received timeously with the revocation, it is possible for the new submission to be placed in the general processing queue instead of being processed within 5 days.
