Scott's story

Scott is 19 years old and lives in the family home with his mother and father. Scott has a learning disability. He has some personal funds in a bank account in his own name but he is unable to access them himself. So that he can contribute to the running of the household and for his personal expenses, Scott’s parents, Mr & Mrs Anderson applied to access a certain level of funds in Scott’s bank account for this purpose.

Mr & Mrs Anderson were able to receive funds from Scott’s account to pay for his food, contribution to utility bills, Sky subscription, mobile phone top-up, video games, clothing, cinema trips, pocket money and for downloading music and movies. This eased the financial pressure on his parents and gave Scott increased independence.
