| There has been a marked shift over the last 5 years as to the types of powers granted. In 2001/02, only 29% of granters elected to include welfare powers. In | ||||||||||||||||
| 2003/04 this had risen to 48% and 2005/06 to 65%. Of powers of attorney registered since 2001, 36% are by males and 64% by females. (information as at | ||||||||||||||||
| April 06). The vast majority of power of attorney are exercised by persons aged 60+, indeed 80% of granters fall into this category. Only 1% of deeds registered | ||||||||||||||||
