Act enables the Public Guardian to investigate concerns where the property or
financial affairs of an adult seem to be at risk. |

continue to see a growth in the number of concerns raised for investigation
with a 24% increase for 2006/07 on the previous year. |

Approximately
40% of cases were referred to us by family or friends and 50% by local
authority contacts and health professionals. |
