	Section 6(2)(c) of the Act enables the Public Guardian to investigate complaints where there is an appointment under the Act namely an Attorney, a
	Withdrawer, Guardian or Intervener.
	Section 6(2)(d) of the Act enables the Public Guardian to investigate concerns where the property or financial affairs of an adult seem to be at risk.
	We continue to see a growth in the number of concerns raised for investigation with a 24% increase for 2006/07 on the previous year.
	Approximately 40% of cases were referred to us by family or friends and 50% by local authority contacts and health professionals.
