The Investigation Team
Who are we?
We are a small team within the Office of the Public Guardian. The team is managed by the Investigation Manager and split into 3 teams each lead by an investigation officer.
The team is impartial and does not represent or act on behalf of any party. Any information gathered during the course of an investigation is kept confidential and is not disclosed other than in accordance with the provisions of ‘the Act’
What do we do?
The team investigates the concerns raised by anyone who has an interest in the property of financial affairs of an adult. These concerns can be sent to the office in a variety of ways: - by telephone; by email; in writing or alternatively a member of the team will arrange a meeting with the complainer.
Our aim
The team seeks to ensure that an adult’s property or financial affairs are suitably safeguarded and not at risk from abuse or misuse.
