What you need to know

An intervention order allows someone to take a one-off action or make decisions on behalf of an adult with incapacity, such as signing a tenancy agreement, selling a house or making decisions about care and personal welfare matters.  It is also possible for the Sheriff to grant a guardianship order to allow decisions to be taken over a longer period of time.
