Our target is to process powers of attorney (PoA) within 30 working days of receiving the document. This week we are working on:
- Electronic (EPOAR) submissions: received on 23 March 2018, 14 working days waiting period
- Postal submissions: received around 19 March 2018, 18 working days waiting period
We offer an expedited registration service for PoAs that are to be processed urgently. If an EPOAR submission is to be expedited, you must complete the full process including paying the fee before requesting the PoA is considered for expedited processing.
All requests for expedited processing, to be emailed to OPG@scotcourts.gov.uk along with the reason why the case should be prioritised and processed before others currently in the queue.
You should receive a response advising whether the request is granted or refused. If your request is granted the case will be processed within 5 working days. Further information on our expedited process is available.
